Mixer is a Lucerne-based branding agency that focuses on unique visual identities. Mixer works with international clients such as Nike, Phaidon, Die Zeit, Süddeutsche Zeitung Magazin and EF, as well as more local clients like Museum of Design Zurich, Museum of Art Lucerne and Südpol.
Founder Erich Brechbühl grew up in Sempach, Switzerland where he started his career at the age of 13 with the foundation of Mix Pictures, an organisation for short film productions and cultural events. After a typography apprenticeship near Lucerne, he became an apprentice graphic designer at the studio of Niklaus Troxler in Willisau. Subsequently, he founded his own graphic design studio Mixer in Lucerne. In 2009 he was co-founder of the Weltformat Graphic Design Festival in Lucerne and started the regular exchange meeting for graphic designers called Show & Tell in 2012.
For his posters he won numerous international awards and since 2007 he’s a member of the Alliance Graphique Internationale [AGI].
